Description: This position provides focus on the Quality Control department and quality processes and documents to assist the Mascot Rail Plant as well as satellite plants.¬  This position reports to the Manager-Global Quality Rail.

Overall Purpose: Support the Quality Control department and North America Rail Bearing plants.


¬ 


Essential Functions:¬ 



  1. Assists in the processing and distribution of incoming and outgoing quality controlled documentation.

    ¬ 


  2. Responsible for scanning, printing, emailing and laminating quality control documents and shipping out documents out to satellite plants.¬ 

    ¬ 


  3. Responsible for SAP material movements related to quality holds and blocked status.

    ¬ 


  4. Responsible for tracking the training sign-off sheets for document changes and new quality document rollouts.


¬ 



  1. Responsible for gathering relevant quality data, as required.

    ¬ 


  2. Provide certificate of conformance to customers per request.

    ¬ 


  3. Review circular letter changes and submit to extended team including quality department, supervisors and managers.

    ¬ 


  4. Order supplies, lunches, booking of conference rooms and any on-site vendor, customers, visitors or auditors on-site coordination.

    ¬ 


  5. Performs UPS shipping for the quality team to other sites.

    ¬ 


  6. Assists Quality Manager and Quality department team members with various research projects and/or special projects.

    ¬ 


  7. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.¬

General Educational Development: High school diploma or GED required. ¬ Previous experience supporting Quality Control department or engineering department preferred.¬  Detailed oriented and proficient in computer usage (Microsoft office, especially Microsoft Excel)¬

Qualifications/Training:¬  Candidate shall successfully complete training program and as applicable, qualification requirements, as defined by the responsible functional manager. New hires shall demonstrate satisfactory performance during new hire probationary period. All training is completed on-the-job.¬ ¬ ¬ ¬ ¬ ¬ ¬ ¬ ¬ ¬

Aptitudes: Requires finger dexterity and manual dexterity.

Temperaments: Must be able to perform repetitive or short-cycle work.

Environmental Conditions: Frequent impact noise, seasonal changes in heat.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
