Description: Examines rollers for defects, such as marks, scratches or other blemishes. Marks rollers that are to be scrapped, as detailed by the Association of American Railroads (AAR) and the customer specifications. Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or company management.
Overall Purpose: Examines rollers for visual acceptance for the use in future bearing assemblies.
Essential Functions:
1. Places cone assemblies onto a mandrel for a visual inspection of the rollers contained within.
2. Visually inspects rollers under magnification, for conformance with AAR and customer specifications.
3. Indicates acceptability of rollers through the use of a non-permanent marking pen.
Physical Demands & Frequency: Requires medium lifting, reaching, handling, fingering and near acuity.
A. Position: Sitting.
B. Weights & Force: Lifting up to 40 pounds.
C. Use of Controls: Use rotating mandrel.
D. Vision must be normal (20/20). Correctional lenses are acceptable.
General Educational Development: Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Information may be presented in written, oral or diagrammatic form and requires a common sense understanding to be applied in order to carry out the instructions.
Qualifications: Candidate shall successfully complete training program and as applicable, qualification requirements, as defined by the responsible functional manager. New hires shall demonstrate satisfactory performance during new hire probationary period.
Training: No experience necessary, on the job training provided.
Aptitudes: Motor coordination, hand/eye coordination, finger dexterity, manual dexterity, spatial perception.
Temperaments: Able to perform repetitive or short-cycle work.
Environmental Conditions: Frequent impact noise, seasonal heat.
Protective Clothing and Personal Devices: Safety glasses, safety shoes, and gloves. Wrist guards as requested.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
